Expense tracking apps fail when logging a transaction takes too long. The design constraint was to get an expense recorded in a few taps, because anything slower gets abandoned within a week.

   Reduced the capture flow to the smallest number of taps that still produces useful data.

   Made categories and budgets visual, so overspending is obvious at a glance rather than buried in a table.

   Built offline-first so entries can be logged without a connection and sync later.

   Added recurring transactions to remove repeated manual entry.
